Education Opportunities

The Women's Bible Class: A long-standing tradition at Lakeside Presbyterian Church, the Women's Bible Class consists of ladies who come together to study the Bible in a systematic way.

The Men's Bible Class: The Men's Bible class studies the Bible each week and reflects on the scriptures meaning for the modern world.

The Koinonia Class: The Koinonia Class is a group of men and women who choose to study particular themes and subjects rather than particular books of the Bible. A recent series of classes focused on the Holy Spirit.

The Electives Class: The Electives Class is a group of men and women who study a wide range of subjects. The class often chooses a particular book to read together, and then discusses the material from a Christian perspective.

Classes for Children and Youth:

Lakeside Presbyterian Church offers a broadly-graded class setting for children in grades K-6. The classes have a different focus each month. In 2008 the month of September will be "Music Month", October will be "Worship Month", November will be "Bible Month" and December will focus on Advent and Christmas. A brochure outlining the goals of the elementary education program is available from the church office.

A class for young people in grades 7-12 is also offered by the church. This class offers teenagers a chance to discuss the chrisitan faith in light of current events, social challenges, and technological and scientific discoveries.
